About this preparation

Benefits from the Farmer Learning guide • Used for management of fruit-boring pests. • Used for management of stem-boring pests and caterpillars. These are the uses described in the preparation guide. Results depend on the crop, growing conditions and correct use. Preparation guide: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1mHwhCaGImYEP6IKQlwKFWC2A4Ztr7KnJ/view Agniastram, also written Agni Astram or Agniastra, is a traditional botanical preparation used in natural-farming pest management. The supplied label lists green chilli, garlic, neem leaves, tobacco and cow urine. Government natural-farming guidance describes related Agniastra formulations for management of borers and caterpillar pests, including stem, fruit and pod borers. Such guidance supports the traditional use of the formulation, but does not certify this particular batch or guarantee control in every crop. Identify the pest and obtain local crop advice before application. Label directions: dilute 30 ml of this product in 1 litre of water (450 ml for 15 litres), equivalent to a 3% dose relative to the water volume. Mix thoroughly, filter sediment and test on a small area first. Do not apply the undiluted concentrate. Confirm crop suitability, timing and any harvest interval with the supplier or agricultural adviser. Important handling: this preparation contains tobacco and pungent plant extracts. Avoid ingestion, skin/eye contact and spray inhalation; use protective gloves, eye protection and suitable spray protection. Keep children and animals away. Avoid open flowers, pollinators and water bodies. Do not treat 'natural' as meaning harmless. Batch dates and shelf life are not supplied.
